DLP Technology
Video and graphics produced by DLP® technology are sharper because the DLP®
chip minimizes the gaps between pixels in an image. Spaced less than one
micron apart, its mirrors create a smooth film like image. Other technologies
can sometimes create an annoying grid of lines called "the screen-door effect".
BenQ is one of the world's top producers of digital display products. When they entered the U.S. market
a number of years ago and Starin was introducing it to dealers, we used to get Ben Who? We no longer
get that, as the brand has become established. Early on, BenQ produced great value product, but
frankly like a lot of Taiwanese companies, they needed to better understand the U.S. business structure
and get their service/support act together. Unlike others, they learned and adjusted. There were some
rocky times as the company shot up fast.
Now, with Starin as the select AV channel distributor providing select pro products, BenQ has reorganized
and for 2 years has been managed by the best dealer advocate we could ask for. We are happy to
report in this guide just how poised BenQ is to service the range of professional applications you have.
Dust is everywhere.
In classrooms, lecture halls, labs, conference rooms and auditoriums...
Did you know LCD projectors require filters to keep dust out? These filters
must prevent possible degradation to the optics and LCD panels.
DLP projectors have sealed optics which do not require filters. The result? Lower maintenance
needs which translates to significantly lower operating costs. And lower maintenance means
happier users. Its just one more reason why DLP technology found in BenQ projectors is the
long-term, better investment.
Lasting color
The heart of DLP Technology is immune to
"color decay". Images below from a projector
test* show how LCD projectors loose their
color integrity over time while DLP projectors
remain consistent.
LCD projectors typically require
cleaning filters every 100-300
hours and changing at
2000 hours. Clogged filters
overheat the unit and lead to
shorter lamp life and stressed
components. We can illustrate
how LCD will cost time and
money over your projectors life.
